What We Collect

CheckMates collects only what is necessary to operate the app:

• Display name — a nickname you choose yourself, shown to members of your shared list.
• List content — items, categories, and lists you create.
• Anonymous identifier — a random ID generated automatically, not linked to any name, email, or phone number.
• Push token — a device token used to deliver push notifications, only if you grant permission.

What We Do Not Collect

• Email address, phone number, or any real-world identity
• Location, contacts, photos, or data from other apps
• Usage data for advertising, marketing analytics, or sale to third parties

How We Use It

Data is used solely to operate the app: syncing lists among group members and delivering update notifications.

Third Parties

• Firebase (Google) — data storage (Firestore), anonymous authentication, and push notifications (FCM). Google Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — relay server for notifications only; does not store list data.

Data Deletion

Deleting the app removes data from your device. To request deletion of server-side data, email checkmate.list.app@gmail.com and include your user ID (long-press the version number on the Settings screen to display and copy it).

Changes

Any material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
